Affidavit for Written Work

For written work (e.g. Bachelor thesis, Master thesis, seminars or project seminars), the submission of an affidavit is mandatory. The affidavit must be signed (handwritten signature; no digital signature) and submitted together with any work relevant to grading and/or examinations (to be attached at the end of the work). Further information can be found here .

A declaration of independence must also be submitted for written work (e.g. Bachelor thesis, Master thesis, seminars, or project seminars) in which the use of IT/AI is addressed. A template can be found under "Template Declaration of Independence".

Submission of the Thesis

The thesis is submitted digitally.  Information regarding the digital thesis can be found under "Checklist Digital Final Thesis".

To submit the PDF file of the thesis, please use ExaBase. You can find the link to ExaBase here.

Please upload the thesis appendix to Sciebo before the submission deadline and note the link to the Sciebo folder in your thesis. You can find the link to Sciebo here.

Important: The affidavit and the declaration of independence must be filled out, signed by hand (no digital signature) and attached at the end of your thesis.

Presentation of the Thesis

After submitting the thesis, students have to present their thesis. For this please use the "Template for the Preparation of the Presentation" of the TU Dortmund University. You can find the template here (german version / english version).

The scope includes 15 minutes for the presentation of the thesis followed by 15 minutes of discussion.
